Coastal Zone Management Plan (CZMP)
The Government of Puducherry has prepared the revised Coastal Zone Management Plan (CZMP) for all the four regions of the U.T. of Puducherry as per the Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) Notification 2019 issued by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India, New Delhi. The Notification can be view at https://dste.py.gov.in/ppcc/pdf/publichearing/czmp-2019/CRZ-Notification-2019.pdf . The CZMP demarcates the areas falling under Coastal Regulation Zone into CRZ-I, CRZ – IB, CRZ-II, CRZ-IIIA, CRZ – IIIB, CRZ-IVA, CRZ – IVB, and all the developmental activities in the CRZ areas will be regulated as per the provision of CRZ Notification, 2019.
Public Hearing is mandatory for finalizing draft CZMP and hence, the public hearing scheduled on 12.04.2023 at 10.00 A.M, in the Ambedkar Nagar Kalyana Mandapam, Opposite – Regency Ceramic Ltd., Main Gate Yanam under the Chairmanship of District Collector, Puducherry.
In this Connection, soft copy of draft CZMP and Coastal Land use maps in 1: 25000 scale for Yanam are given hereunder for your reference. It is requested that the public shall view the map and the comments/suggestions/opinions are to be communicated to the office of Regional Administrator, Yanam.
However, all departments will maintain register notebook for the visitors along with details of name of the Person and Address, Contact Details and Signature.
