Industrial Guidance bureau (IGB) –
Industrial guidance bureau facilitates the entrepreneurs in obtaining clearances from various departments/Agencies in a time bound and efficient manner for setting up of industrial units.
- IGB receives common applications from the promotors of the project. After scrutiny, the applications are forwarded with relevant documents to the departments concerned for clearances.
- Each department processes the applications simultaneously adhering to the time limit of 30 days for decision on issue of clearances.
- A high level empowered committee(HLEC) under the chairmanship of the Hon’ble Ministers of Industries meets periodically and scrutinizes red and orange category units in addition to large and medium scale units of green category and gives “in principle” clearance for issue of permission/clearances by departments.
- A Facilitation-cum-review meeting is held every week with the officials of the line departments to review the progress of the pending applications and to guide the new entrepreneurs in getting the clearances.
