Yanam Market Committee

The Yanam Market Committee was established in the year 1990 and incorporated as a corporate body under a special act entitled in the Pondicherry agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1973 and rules 1975.

The main aims of establishment of this Committee is to help the farmers to get reasonable price for their produce without the exploitation of middle-men. Coconut and Paddy are the two major crops of the region and both of them are notified.
