Regional Administrator’s Office

The Regional Administrator, Yanam is who is the Head of the Yanam region and acting as Sub Divisional Magistrate, Deputy Collector (Revenue), Deputy Commissioner (Excise), Civil Supplies Authority, Regional Transport Authority and activities pertaining to Tourism Unit, Information Unit, Planning Unit and holding additional charge as General Manager, PRTC and Seagulls Restaurant, Chairman, NRHM, Chairman, Yanam Market Committee, Chairman, Novodaya Vidyalaya, Chairman, Yanam Planning Authority and also Head of Offices to various offices in Yanam region and monitoring the following activities.

  1. Review of Plan Review meetings pertaining to all Offices of Yanam region.
  2. Issue of Expenditure sanctions for various departments under the powers of Regional Administrator, Yanam.
  3. Celebration of National Festivals and garlanding of statues of National Leaders/Patriots of their Births and Deaths under Information Unit.
  4. Celebration of Yanam Peoples Festival, and International Yoga day under Tourism Unit.
  5. Issue of Verification Certificates for Tatkal Passports, Issue of Birth Registration Judgments, Tenant cases, 107 cases under Sub Divisional Magistrate.
  6. Attending of cases pertaining to Land Acquisition Proceedings under Land Acquisition Act.
  7. Issue of House site pattas and issue of new licenses and renewal of Money lending and pawn Broker Licenses as Deputy Collector (Revenue).
  8. Issue of Ration Cards to Public as Civil Supplies Authority.
  9. Attending of activities pertaining to Election Unit as Electoral Registration Officer.
  10. Issues pertaining to Deputy Commissioner (Excise), i.e. Renewal of FL1 and FL2 Licenses and issue of Import Permits and Transport Permits to IMFL dealers.
  11. Passing of orders to the concerned PIOs as Appellate Authority under RTI Act.
  12. In addition to the above, the Regional Administrator is holding Sub Judicial Magistrate, Yanam whenever Sub Judge is goes on leave/transfer.
